How I spent my 4th of July

The famous and wonderful Annalynn takes time to pose with (don't know if you have heard of her) Miley Cyrus!
Annalynn got 4 tickets to the Stadium of Fire held every year in Provo. She was accompanied by her mom, Grammie, and little sister, T. Annalynn even had time to squeeze in a few photos with one of her fans Miley Cyrus!!!!!

1 Year

We can't let today pass without mentioning that a year ago today Annalynn's diagnosis was confirmed.

One year later we all have a different perspective than we did twelve months ago.

May our prayers and thoughts continue to uplift Annalynn and help her and her family through this trying time.

We love you Annalynn!

"...but I Can't Wait Until I'm 8"

The title of this post was taken from a favorite Children's Primary song of mine that I know the kids still sing at church. " I can't wait until I'm 8 for then I'll be baptised you see!"

On June 21st Annaynn was Baptised. She looked so beautiful in her white dress with pink flowers that she had requested from Grammie Beck. Grammie even made her a really nice headband to match. Annalynn had several "fans" come to her big event including all family members that could attend and several of her neighbors and ward members. She is a little angel. It was so sweet to see her be baptised and see all of the people that love and care about Annalynn.

Program went as follows:

Opening Prayer: Grandpa Beck
Pianist: Aunt Quel
Chorister: Aunt Heather
Baptised and Confirmed by her father: Nick Olson
Special Musical Number: Aunt Heather Performed a vocal medley of songs
Speakers: Grandpa Olson & Uncle Dan
Closing Prayer: Uncle Troy

afterwards everyone gathered at their home for muffins, cupcakes, and fresh fruit. (It was really early in the morning)

It was a beautiful day for a beautiful young lady.

She is Back to School Special

After many months of going between home, hospital, and an occasional trip to a family member's home, Annalynn is finally able to go back to school and join her peers!

Annalynn's first day back was about 2 weeks ago. She was so very excited that she wore herself out on day 1 and was only able to do a 1/2 day for day 2. However, she is back and loving it more than ever. She has made a bunch of new friends and is truly embracing her new social life.

Ch-ch-ch-changes:

Dearest Precious Annalynn: Our thoughts and prayers are with you this morning as you prepare for surgery, again. We hope you are comforted and know that you are being watched over. We all love you so much-- you are our inspiration!

A couple of weeks ago Annalynn had an infection that her body just could not fight off. She was continually feverish. The doctors decided that they had to remove her "Central Line" that she was given near the beginning of her diagnosis. (This is used so that they can take blood as often as they need with out poking her with needles.) So, her Central Line was removed from above her heart and a temporary was put in her arm until her infection healed.

Now that her infection has healed Annalynn is back at the hospital today having a new one put back near her heart, on her chest.

Gave us a Fright!

Friday Annalynn gave us all a fright. She was playing with her little sister, T, when her fever shot up and she suddenly went into a seizure. She fell back and hit her head quite bad. Older sister N called the paramedics, mom rushed home from the store.... the whole family went to the hospital.

After a few hours and several tests Annalynn was cleared to go home. This is not her first seizure, but it doesn't get any easier.

Her sisters were happy and relieved (especially T) when they got the news that Annalynn was coming home.
