Latest

Annalynn is anxiously waiting for Monday to come around.  On Monday she will go to the hospital to receive her Chemo treatment and at that same time they will check her immune system again to if it has improved at all.

Annalynn is also anxiously waiting for her new camera and computer so that she can join her classmates at school through the Internet, again.  She attended school this way for a while last year until she was able to attend school again.  Its better that she gets to be there "in" the classroom with them.

In classic Annalynn style, she is staying pretty upbeat through all of this.

Holidays 2008

January:

Annalynn's immune system is really low again.  She has to stay at home mostly and try to get her numbers back up.  Because of how her immune system is the doctors have recently taken her off of her oral-chemo treatment she was on.  She is doing monthly treatments right now instead of weekly.

She has not been to school in a while, and she will start doing school online with her classroom again in a week or so.  She is really bummed about this, as she would prefer to go to school and socialize.

If you are able to, please send her some letters, postcards and words of encouragement.  We all know that being at home all the time is not that fun!

Hang in there Annalynn, we love u!

Her Favorite Christmas Things:

2007 - It started snowing during our family Christmas party! It was so beautiful, but it prevented us from driving to Salt Lake City to take our gifts to the children's hospital that the family donated.  We ended up taking them Christmas day when it wasn't snowing.

This is Annalynn on Christmas 2007!

Favorite Christmas Song: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

With a snowstorm the other day in Northern Utah, and more to come this weekend it really is starting to look a lot like Christmas.  Annalynn accompanied her sisters and parents to the Utah/Wyoming Wasatch Mountains the weekend after Thanksgiving to pick out and cut the family Christmas tree.  It is one of their family Christmas traditions.

After that tree gets home, Annalynn enjoys helping decorate it.  Her other favorite thing to do is open presents!

Last year at their house the Christmas spirit was so alive.  Annalynn told me that her favorite Christmas was probably last year -2007.  Only a few months after her Leukemia diagnosis it was amazing to see how the community and neighbors really helped make Christmas warm and special for her family.  It will be a memorable Christmas for all of us for a very long time.

Merry Christmas from Annalynn!

Some Pictures

Aunt Quel and Annalynn after her baptism modeling her new Marc Jacobs dress!  SO CUTE! (Aunt Quel just couldn't resist-so comfortable, so stylish.  It matches perfect with her crystal blue eyes!)

Looking good in her baptism dress from Grammie

So sweet and beautiful
Her new fishing hat to protect her from the sun.  This way she can still go fishing with daddy.

Always smiling... Annalynn gets ready to open a birthday present

Spooks for October

Starting from the beginning of October Annalynn's immune system was basically non-existent, meaning it was unable to do its job of keeping Annalynn well. She has been in and out of the hospital a few times in the past few weeks and now she is starting to do better. Part of this being that she came down with "fifth disease" which is a virus. Things are looking up for her and there are no more signs of the rash that usually accompanies "fifth disease."

Still no going back to school until she improves a little more.

She's Got Cabin Fever

Our dear Annalynn has to stay at home for a while. Her blood and immune counts are all really low and this means that she has to stay in for a while. She's got cabin fever!
If you know of a good website for kids to play games on send her the link.... She is going to need plenty to keep her cute head occupied so she doesn't think about all of the places she can't be right now.
Lets hope her numbers get up soon!
She misses her classmates and going to school too!
